Acclaimed violist and composer-in-residence Nokuthula Ngwenyama has curated a star-studded lineup of composers from film, TV and beyond and enlisted the help of five mega-talented musicians to help perform their works! Composers include multiplatinum songwriter Gardner Cole (composer of songs for Madonna, Jody Watley, Amy Grant and more), three-time Emmy-nominated film and TV composer Paul Brill ("Freakonomics," A&E's "The First 48," IFC doc "Joan Rivers: A Piece of Work" and more), Postcommodity's experimental sound maven Raven Chacon and singer/songwriter Anna Vivette.

This dynamic multimedia show about the music of now features several premieres of original works including Ngwenyama's world premiere of "Rising" for multitrack, violins and pedals, Ngwenyama’s voice, string quintet, piano, and cajón piece “Aki Reve,” Brill’s live scoring to scenes from director Rachel Shuman’s “One October,” an award-winning lyrical documentary portrait of New York City and insight into the composers' work and life.
