The Real James Bond…Was Dominican THEATER
Friday, April 1 at 7:30 p.m.

What happens when a Dominican boy obsessed with James Bond in Queens (who will not go anywhere without his Nerf gun), finds out that the real James Bond was Dominican? This is a true story about Porfirio Rubirosa, who inspired Ian Fleming to create Bond, and a young Dominican actor to be whose discovery of Rubi shakes his very foundation. Set to a live percussion score and immersive projections, The Real James Bond Was Dominican is a guide to love, sex, color, code switching, whitewashing, success, fake it till you make it and the roller coaster of finding the true self for one young man. Immerse yourself in a memorable, intimate and inspiring theater experience at this special engagement, written and performed by Christopher Rivas.

Developed with and directed by Daniel Banks.
