SUMMARY:SONRISA
DESCRIPTION:Since moving to Phoenix in 2005\, drummer Scott Sadlon has been very active in the jazz community both as a sideman and a band leader. \n\n\n\nScott formed SONRISA back in 2014 as a vehicle to his own creative vision to keep him actively playing and engaged in the music community. Since then\, the band has been a collective of some of the best local jazz musicians from around the Phoenix scene. \n\n\n\nSONRISA\, which is the Spanish word for “smile”\, is a genre-bending group whose music easily moves between traditional Bebop\, Jazz and Latin standards all the way to jazz arrangements of classic rock songs. The aim of the band is to provide the audience with a unique\, fun and engaging night of music for all to enjoy. \n\n\n\nHe will be joined by long time collaborators Nick Manson on piano\, Mario Mendivil on bass and Andrew Gross on saxophone. \n\n\n\nfun fact: Scott also maintains a General Dentistry practice in Old Town Scottsdale and serves the dental needs of many Phoenix area musicians.
