SUMMARY:James & Jimmy - Fire & Rain & Margaritas
DESCRIPTION:For over 15 years The James Taylor Experience (JTE) tribute show has been recreating the look\, feel and sound of a James Taylor concert for James Taylor fans around the world. That world was saddened by the recent loss of Jimmy Buffett. Buffett and Taylor were good friends who performed together often over the years and sang each others songs in various recordings. They are two of the most beloved and prolific singer-songwriters the world has ever produced. Fire & Rain\, You’ve Got a Friend and Carolina in My Mind are just a few of Taylors’s many hits\, and Buffett’s Margaritaville and Son of a Son of a Sailor are examples of the timeless tunes that each tell a story straight from Jimmy Buffet’s adventurous life. \n\n\n\nJames Taylor paid tribute to Jimmy Buffett in several of his shows after his passing\, and we feel the same desire to celebrate this awesome artist in our show\, bringing the James Taylor Experience together with special tribute to the life and music of Jimmy Buffet in this two-act concert performance.

SUMMARY:Sonoran Winds Quintet - Arizona Philharmonic
DESCRIPTION:This program by the Sonoran Winds—comprised of principal players of Arizona Philharmonic—includes four works\, beginning with one of the quintets of Anton Reicha. These early 19th-century pieces played an important role in popularizing the woodwind quintet as an ensemble. Next is a contemporary work\, the colorful Quintet for Winds by Robert Muczyinski. The most recent work on the program\, the Four Bagatelles of Andrey Rubtsov is a light\, enjoyable work with several flashes of humor. To close\, we present the Early Hungarian Dances of Ferenc Farkas\, witty arrangements of 17th-century courtly dances.

SUMMARY:Phoenix Chamber Music Society and ASU Kerr co-present Dover Quartet\, Soovim Kim (violin) and friends
DESCRIPTION:Part of the PCMS Festival XIV – David Shifrin\, Artistic Director \n\n\n\nBask in the glory of music for expanded string ensembles by Mozart and Mendelssohn\, two short-lived composers of long-lasting music. Both composers began as child prodigies and neither lived to see their 40th birthday\, but left behind the exuberant\, genre-forming pieces on this program. Mozart’s C Major Viola Quintet comes from the composer’s maturity and inspired beloved string quintets in the same key by Beethoven and Schubert. Mendelssohn\, on the other hand\, wrote his high-octane Octet when he was just 16\, creating the blueprint for future string octets by composers from Enescu to Shostakovich. Don’t miss this incredible pairing of two great masterpieces for strings in the hands of members of the Dover Quartet and renowned guest artists! \n\n	\n\n\n\n\n \n\nBask in the glory of music for expanded string ensembles by Mozart and Mendelssohn\, two short-lived composers of long-lasting music.
