SUMMARY:Newsies Jr. - Presented by Rancho Solano Preparatory School
DESCRIPTION:Disney’s “Newsies Jr.” is a 60-minute version of the 2012 Broadway musical\, based on the 1992 film. Inspired by the rousing true story of newsboys in turn-of-the-century New York City\, “Newsies Jr.” features a Tony Award-winning score by Alan Menken and Jack Feldman and a book by Tony Award winner Harvey Fierstein. \n\n\n\nWhen powerful newspaper publishers raise prices at the newsboys’ expense\, the charismatic Jack Kelly rallies newsies from across the city to strike against the unfair conditions. Together\, the newsies learn that they are stronger united and create a movement to fight for what’s right. \n\n\n\nIncluding the now-classic songs “Carrying the Banner\,” “Seize the Day” and “Santa Fe\,” “Newsies Jr.” is a timeless story full of spirit and heart. \n\n\n\n“Newsies Jr.” is performed by Rancho Solano Preparatory School middle and upper school students. \n\n\n\nShowtimes: \n\n\n\nThursday\, May 4 at 7 p.m.Friday\, May 5 at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m.Saturday\, May 6 at 7 p.m.

SUMMARY:GK50 - Ganesh & Kumaresh
DESCRIPTION:Here is a small perspective of the brothers talking about their journey! \n\n\n\nKumaresh gets philosophical. “We talk about creating music\, but the truth is\, it is music that uses us as instruments. We are just able to connect to some force. Some call it ‘God’ or ‘divine power.’ But how do you explain the fact that people like what you play?” he asks. \n\n\n\nGanesh agrees\, “There are many who practice a lot but are unable to make that connection with the audience when they play. That’s why it’s called adhrishta. A lot of people think adhrishta means luck\, but it actually means something that cannot be seen A-drishta.” \n\n\n\n“We naturally understand that there is something higher than us which is in operation. We are lucky that it is connected to us\,” Kumaresh completes his brother’s thoughts. \n\n\n\nTHE EVENT IS COMPLETELY FREE FOR STUDENTS UP TO 12th grade (student ID is needed at the entrance). \n\n\n\nCALLING YOUTH ARTISTS OF AZ – It’s a perfect way to end your Academic School year and welcome summer vacation!!! \n\n	\n\n\n\n\n \n\nExperience Ganesh & Kumaresh\, the musical legends who redefined the sound of music! Come join us in the celebration of the amazing brothers’ 50-year musical journey TOGETHER – GK50.
