DESCRIPTION:The Whiffenpoofs of 2026 are incredibly excited to perform at ASU Kerr\, singing a mix of classic and contemporary favorites! This concert kicks off their tour of Phoenix\, Arizona\, the hometown of current member Lucas Oland. Every year\, 14 senior Yale students are selected to be in the Whiffenpoofs\, the world’s oldest and best-known collegiate a cappella group. Founded in 1909\, the Whiffs began as a senior quartet that met weekly at Mory’s Temple Bar. Today\, the group has become one of Yale’s most celebrated traditions. Singing a mixture of old Yale tunes\, jazz standards\, and other hits from across the decades\, the Whiffenpoofs perform more than 200 concerts across six continents each year. In past years\, the Whiffs have sung for Presidents Obama\, Bush\, Clinton and Reagan\, and at venues including Carnegie Hall\, Lincoln Center and the Kennedy Center. They’ve even been featured on television shows such as The Sing Off\, The West Wing\, and Glee.

Our goal is to entertain\, provoke\, educate\, inspire and move our audiences with our creative interpretations. \n\n\n\nSongs From Film features a variety of known local talent including 2025 ariZoni Theatre Award winners Taylor Underwood\, Chris Gamble\, as well as Shelby Hanks\, Mars Ungor\, Liana Harper Cruz\, Mara Chiles\, Grant West and Mike Arseneault. \n\n\n\nSongs from Film is conceived and directed by Mike Arseneault\, with Musical Direction from Thomas Hartwell. \n\n\n\nThe singers will be supported on-stage with a multi-image slide show and top local musicians on grand piano\, violin\, drums and guitar. \n\n\n\nFOUR PERFORMANCES JAN 15-18\, 2026 \n\n\n\n \n\n\n\nThere are four performances at the Historic ASU Kerr. SUMMARY:Lacy J. Dalton
DESCRIPTION:Lacy J. Dalton (born Jill Lynne Byrem on October 13\, 1946 in Bloomsburg\, Pennsylvania)\, is an American alt-country singer and songwriter with a career that has spanned many decades and touched the hearts of millions of music fans. Listen to a Lacy J Dalton album for yourself\, and feel the authenticity in her delivery.  In March 2017 Lacy J Dalton was inducted into the North American Country Music Association International Hall of Fame\, and in 2022 she was awarded a Lifetime Career Achievement Award from the Josie Music Awards\, the largest independent music awards show in the country. \n\n\n\nIn 1979 Lacy was awarded the Academy of Country Music’s Top New Female Vocalist of the Year. Then in 1980\, she signed by Columbia Records and quickly rose to national prominence with Crazy Blue Eyes\, which raced to #7 on the Billboard Country Charts. She also brought home numerous Grammy nominations and 3 prestigious\, back to back (1979\, 1980\, 1981) Bay Area Music Awards for Best Country-Folk Recordings.  Lacy’s collaboration with Willie Nelson on his platinum Half Nelson CD was a high spot for her a s she was the only woman featured on that recording\, and was awarded a Platinum Record for her participation. She also received a couple of Gold Records from Hank Williams Jr. in 1985 for her support performances throughout his Five-0 Tour. She toured for years with the likes of the Oakridge Boys\, Willie Nelson\, Merle Haggard\, and Hank Williams Jr. to name just a few. \n\n\n\nHer hit records are legendary million-airplay cuts: 16th Avenue (the Anthem for Nashville songwriters was voted one of Country’s Top 100 Songs ever by Billboard Magazine)\, Crazy Blue Eyes\, Hillbilly Girl with the Blues\, Takin’ It Easy\, Everybody Makes Mistakes\, and the worldwide hit Black Coffee.  Her 2006 album Last Wild Place Anthology went #1 on the World Independent Chart\, and a year later went #1 on the American Western Music Chart.  In 2019 that same album was awarded the Pete Huttlinger award for Music Excellence by Strictly Country Magazine and the Spirit Awards. \n\n\n\nIn 2019 Lacy released a 4 song EP titled Scarecrow.  When hearing the title song\, her good friend Reverend Barbara Ann Fletcher remarked “that song makes you a whole new you\, and it makes me a whole new me.”  And that’s exactly the response Lacy was hoping for.  In 2024 Lacy released an album titled For The Black Sheep\, a collection of songs with meaningful lyrics and messages of unity and acceptance for all of us. DESCRIPTION:Get ready to laugh at our bimonthly comedy series\, Comedy @ Kerr!  \n\n\n\nWe collect donations for Vista del Camino Food Bank. Hygiene items are especially needed but non-perishable food items are great\, too! \n\n\n\nJoin us in the Kerr Studio in the heart of Scottsdale for stand-up comedy from rotating guests with our fine host Sari Beliak. Sari is a writer and comedian from Phoenix\, AZ. She is a former senior contributing writer for The Onion and regular contributor to sites like The Hard Times\, Reductress\, and McSweeney’s.  \n\n\n\nHer comedy album Dead Dog Mom\, released on Burn This Records\, debuted at #1 on iTunes in May 2025. She was a guest writer on your favorite NPR news quiz show\, Wait Wait…Don’t Tell Me. In 2020\, she was a finalist for NBC’s Late Night Writer’s Workshop\, which was an otherwise totally normal and chill year.  \n\n\n\nThis event is every other month on the last Wednesday. \n\n\n\nCONTENT WARNING: This event is 18+ due to adult language and situations. Bar for 21+ with ID. \n\n\n\nGeneva Rust-Orta@genevarustorta \n\n\n\nGeneva is a Brooklyn-based comedian originally from Oakland\, CA. In Sept 2025 she released her debut comedy special\, “Normal Father” on YouTube. The audio album will be released through Burn This Records in April 2026. She was a finalist in the Don’t Tell Comedy Competition DTCCCC 2025 and has been featured in Limestone\, Flyover\, SF Sketchfest and the Cleveland Comedy Festivals. \n\n\n\nDurrell Johnson@dj_composercomic \n\n\n\nDurrell Johnson is a Phoenix-based comedian who has entertained all around the Valley for over 12 years. Starting in the year 2011\, Durrell has performed in LA\, New Orleans\, Salt Lake City and Redmond\, WA area. His unique blend of topical\, political and racial humor based around real life events makes his style of comedy unique to many. Durrell was recently featured in the Four Corners Comedy Festival\, becoming one of the 10 of 60 comedians selected for Colorado’s “Best of the Fest”! \n\n\n\nJackie Tinsley@jacktinsleitis \n\n\n\nJackie Tinsley is a Phoenix based comic\, born and raised in the Valley of the Sun! Her quick witted storytelling has landed her on stages all over Arizona and beyond. Jackie has been part of various comedy festivals including The Cactus Comedy Classic\, The World Comedy Expo\, Big Pine Comedy Festival\, and Black Girl Giggles! She has also opened for various headliners such as Andrew Santino\, Josh Johnson and Marlon Wayans!

As a solo artist\, Allen utilizes impeccably timed live looping to create a captivating one-man show\, with his hypnotic command of the guitar bringing every inch of the instrument to life. \n\n\n\nRyan David Green has been called “a full blown shredder” by Acoustic Guitar Magazine. A graduate of Boston’s prestigious Berklee College of Music\, his instrumental “Time Is Not What You Think It Is” was awarded 1st place in the 2024 American Songwriter Song Contest and his original compositions have received numerous film and TV placements\, including shows on E!\, Lifetime\, and ABC Family/Freeform. \n\n\n\nTogether\, performing a blend of beautiful instrumental guitar pieces and delicate vocal tunes\, they’ll be taking audiences to a place both otherworldly\, and somehow surprisingly intimate.
