“Music is the therapy of the soul” and there is nothing like live music to heal us and take our souls to new heights. To that end, RASA Management LLC, in partnership with the SPK Academy of Music Inc, is excited to announce a live concert tour titled “Raag Raagini” featuring North Indian sitar maestro Ustad Shahid Parvez Khan and South Indian Carnatic violinist Smt. Vijayalakshmi Lalgudi. The tour brings these two gifted performers together after seven years.

“Raag Raagini” is inspired by the dynamic energy created in the spontaneous musical interaction between the masculine and feminine. The performance pieces reimagine the playful banter between two loves, signifying the blooming of a new beginning, building into the frenetic electricity of an unknown desire. Ustad Shahid Parvez Khan and Smt. Vijaylakshmi Lalgudi will be joined on stage by Pt. Patri Satish Kumar on mridangam and Anubrata Chatterjee on tabla.
