Duo Fuerza is a piano duo featuring international Steinway artist James D’León and pianist Alwen Yeung. Their four-hand piano concerts combine precision and visual artistry, and their coordination at one keyboard is as engaging to watch as it is to hear.

Praised for “exciting pianism filled with highly powerful emotion” and “sensitive playing and touch,” the duos programs span a diverse repertoire. From Johann Sebastian Bach and Franz Schubert to Astor Piazzolla and George Gershwin, Duo Fuerza showcases the range of four-hand piano performance. Their performances emphasize color, nuance and narrative, transforming familiar works into a shared musical experience.

A hallmark of their concerts is the “Conversations from the Piano” format, where the artists share background on each piece, helping audiences understand the music.

Beyond the stage, Duo Fuerza supports education and community engagement through residencies, masterclasses and outreach initiatives. As ensemble-in-residence at Georgia Southwestern State University, the duo performs nationwide, focusing on collaboration and musical connection.
