Flowing to electric from the acoustic and through Spanish, English and Portuguese lyrics, LADAMA is a group of four women—virtuosic musicians and educators—that are sisters in song, rhythm and spirit. Lara Klaus, Daniela Serna, Mafer Bandola and Sara Lucas harness music from their respective countries of origin: Brazil, Colombia, Venezuela and the U.S.  Reimagining Caribbean and South American genres like maracatu, cumbia, onda nueva and joropo and spinning them with soul, R&B and pop, they created a sound that’s all their own.
