Traditional Japanese music meets jazz improvisation in MAOSHO, a collaboration between pianist and trumpeter Mao Sone and shamisen performer Sho Asano. Combining shamisen, voice, piano and trumpet, the duo creates a performance that moves between centuries-old folk traditions and contemporary jazz, giving audiences a fresh take on both genres.
