Emerging from the depths of the Amazon rainforest, Haru and Dr. Hayra Kuntanawa, the leaders of the Kuntanawa people and the guardians of the Amazon–are making a rare stop in Scottsdale for an evening of sharing ancient songs and chants, stories, photos, indigenous wisdom and more.

Join Julian and Emilia Saporiti of No-No Boy for an immersive multimedia concert combining folk songs, place-based sound recordings, archival materials, thermal images of desert environments and storytelling to communicate the rich possibilities of engaging with place. Some of the songs performed at the concert will emerge from arts-based fieldwork conducted in the Phoenix Valley. 

The Sugar Thieves have been winning fans over worldwide with their high energy, soulful live shows since 2006. Over the years they have honed their brand of American roots music, creating a sound that is all their own.

Composer and bandleader Scott Jeffers has traveled extensively across the globe to gather inspiration; composing most of his songs while surrounded by faraway people and landscapes brings a true authenticity to his fiery and passionate violin and vocal performances. Czech master jazz pianist Emil Viklický will bring his traditional style of straight-ahead jazz to ASU Kerr and perform a Super Bowl weekend kickoff concert! Joining Viklický will be bassist Chris Finet and former drummer for Jimmy Smith and George Benson, Dowell Davis from New Orleans.
